New service accounts are hard to find

The builder picks for them.

When the pool is handed over, the builder recommends a service company. If that isn't you, the account is gone before you knew it existed.

Door hangers on every house.

Most homes on the street already have a pool guy, or no pool at all. You pay to print and hang for the few that don't.

Routes cost a fortune.

Buying an existing route means paying many months of revenue up front for accounts that may leave with the seller.

A new pool is the one moment a homeowner has no service company yet. The county knows the day it happens. Now you can too.

The best time to win a pool account is before there's water in it

When a Florida homeowner spends $70,000 on a new pool, the county records the permit the week construction starts. It's public, it's dated, and it tells you exactly who is about to need weekly service, chemicals and equipment.

Most pool builders don't do weekly service. PermitScoop finds every new pool permit in your territory, every morning, so your letter or knock lands while the owner is still deciding who will look after it.

These aren't leads for pool builders: the builder is hired before the permit is filed. They're for the companies that come next. Screen enclosure, fence and heater companies get their own list, with pools that already filed an enclosure, fence or heater permit taken out.

What's in a lead

Every lead is a real home, a real owner and a real permit

  1. 1
    Why it scored A

A brand-new in-ground pool: weekly service, chemicals and equipment for years.

  2. 2
    Owner or absentee

From the Florida homestead exemption. Second homes and rentals stay in: absentee owners rarely clean their own pool.

  3. 3
    Mailing address included

Reaches snowbirds and landlords where they actually live.

  4. 4
    No phone numbers, on purpose

We don't sell homeowner phone numbers, so we never put you at TCPA risk.

Pricing

One flat price. No per-lead fees.

Standard
$149/month

Everything in Founding, at the regular price.

Team
$249/month
  • Everything in Standard
  • 3 seats with separate ZIP lists
  • Automatic CRM sync

One new account pays for it. Weekly pool service in Florida typically runs $125–$150 a month, so one new customer from the list covers the Founding plan, and two cover any plan. A pool customer usually stays for years.

FAQ

Questions pool companies ask

Are these leads for pool builders?

No. By the time a pool permit is filed, the homeowner has already hired a builder. These leads are for the companies that come next: weekly pool service, and screen enclosure, fence and heater companies, who get their own list with pools that already filed an enclosure, fence or heater permit taken out.

Are these exclusive leads?

No. Building permits are public records, and anyone could find them. What we sell is the finding and the speed: every new pool permit in your ZIPs, in your inbox the morning after it's filed. We do cap it: at most 3 pool companies get the list for any one ZIP, and once a ZIP is full we stop selling it.

Do I hear about the pool again when it's finished?

Yes, where the county publishes inspection results. When a new pool on your list passes final inspection, it comes back as a second lead: the water is in and the builder is leaving, which is the best moment to knock. Miami-Dade County's records outside the City of Miami don't show final inspections yet, so there you get the permit alert only.

How early do I hear about a pool?

The permit is filed before digging starts, so you usually hear about a pool weeks before it's filled. Most permits reach you 1–2 business days after filing. Some areas publish more slowly: Miami-Dade County (unincorporated + municipal) is about 3 business days behind, City of Miami is about 3 business days behind, Orlando is about 15 business days behind, Hillsborough County (unincorporated) is about 4 business days behind, St. Petersburg (new homes and renovations only) is about 3 business days behind, Port St. Lucie is about 3 business days behind.

What's in Tier B and C?

Tier B is new spas and hot tubs, plus pool remodels and resurfacing: good for equipment, repair and a service pitch to an existing pool. Tier C is above-ground pools. You choose which tiers come in the 7am email.

Do you include rentals and second homes?

Yes. Unlike our solar leads, absentee owners stay in, because they're the most likely to pay for weekly service. Each lead says whether the owner lives there, and gives their mailing address.

Where does the data come from?

From public records, updated every weekday. No web forms.

Why no phone numbers?

Selling homeowner phone numbers is how lead companies end up in TCPA lawsuits, and so do their customers. You get the owner's name and mailing address, which is all you need for mail and door-knocking.

Can I cancel?

Any time, in two clicks. No contracts, no per-lead fees.

Which areas are next?

We add counties in the order customers ask for them, starting with those that publish their permits every day. Request yours and we'll tell you when it's live.

Two ways to spend next month

Keep hanging flyers.

Print for a whole neighborhood and hope one house has a pool and no pool guy.
